Weaver 330 scope history

i am looking at a weaver 330 scope. it is marked weaver co model 330 pat pending el paso usa. the adjustments are near the rear of the scope and have a small screw in the center of the adj knob. it is currently on a remington 141 made in 1939. my question is: is this the same type used on 1903-A4...12-21-2010, 10:34 AM. QUESTION: I was yard sailing yesterday, and took a gamble and purchased a Weaver 330 Scope complete with a Redfield flat base mount with 3/4 rings on it. The front ring is a 'thicker' ring with two screws for tighteners. The scope is clearly marked Weaver 330 Pat. Pending. It is in overall nice condition with very nice blueing.Weaver 330C and 330S scopes are generally all marked "330". I say generally since over the years the scopes were made a variety of different markings were used. But the letters "C" or "S" appear only in catalogs and cartons.
